Have you tried out StitchFix yet? It is all the buzz on social media these days. I love it because I live in a town with not many shopping options and I want quality clothes that fit my style. I prefer a classic modest look. I love feminine fabrics and details. Bring on the lace and ruffles. Chiffon and pearl details galore! Pleather, plaid, and boho styles need not apply.
This month I kept 4 things from my box. Considering they send only 5 items, I would say this box was great!
My stylist, Krista, really got it right by sending me some beautiful jewel colors and a denim jacket. I had requested a denim jacket for fall and she hit it out of the park with this Kut From The Kloth Anusha Sweet Wash Denim Jacket. Oh sweet glory! The faded light denim is so dreamy. I’ve worn it 5 times and I’ve only owned it 8 days.
I also kept the Colibri Solid Tab Sleeve Blouse by 41Hawthorn. It is a rich and beautiful purple. Jewel colors are so lovely for fall. I get in a bit of a rut in the winter with dark colors. This is just the thing I needed to give my cold weather wardrobe a pick me up.
The turquoise 19 Cooper top is a favorite of mine currently. It is labeled as a tunic, but I like my tunics to be fairly long. So I decided to try this on with jeans and I fell in love with the color and the fit. The fabric is wonderful and I don’t feel worried about how it will withstand the stretching and pulling that comes with playing with my 3 kids.
I am always hesitant with pants and jeans. I’m still trying to figure out my new shape after 3 kids and pants don’t fit comfortable. I don’t like feeling like I can’t change positions quickly, reach and stretch, or bend down to help a child easily. Stitch Fix has sent me 4 pairs of pants for me to try I had sent them all back. This month, the 5th pair was a winner! They are high enough in the waist and have enough stretch in the thighs. They passed all my quick movement tests and the dark color is so flattering. I am looking forward to wearing these all fall and winter with my boots and sweaters.
I have loved updating my wardrobe and finding new pieces that I feel confident and comfortable in. I will have one more review for you all with a few dresses in it and a cardigan. Then I have placed my shipments on hold until February when it will be time to rotate in some spring pieces (even though it will be winter in Montana until June).
Be sure to to on over to Stitch Fix and fill out a style profile. Be specific and detailed on exactly how you like things to fit. I like loose in the waist and fitted in my arms and legs ( I carry my weight like a spider). Then you pay $20 to receive your first box with 5 items. You get to put that $20 toward anything you keep and pay for what you like. Or you can send everything back and you are only out $20. Think of the time you will save (and the gas money) from not having to go store to store to find what you like. Stitch Fix will round it all up for you. And if you need an item for a special event, this is the perfect time to try it out.
Let me know what you think! And use my link, I get a credit anytime someone has a box shipped when they are referred by me.
