Friday Stampede!

Stampin' Up

This week I joined Stampin’ Up as an Independant Demonstrator!  I am so very excited.  If you have been following me on Instagram the last year, you know that I have really loved paper crafting and card making.  What really got me started was the goal I set for myself to send out more mail to others.  Cards, letters, gifts, etc.  And making my own cards was a really fun way to accomplish that goal and satisfy my creative hunger.  My Grammy has been making cards and doing all sorts of stamping since I was little.  She was the one who first introduced me to the craft and I quickly fell in love.

When Grammy moved here last spring, I joined her at a few card making workshops and I was hooked.  I then quickly began hosting a monthly stamping club at my house with my friends and family.  Sarah Cade teaches us new techniques and we go home with 3 cards ready to mail out.  At Christmas time, I had a really successful open house where my friends and famly could come and go and make and take as many cards as they like.  There was a selection of 20 different Christmas cards so it was very easy to find something we all liked.  We always have such a great time getting together and catching up, snacking, and crafting.  Its good for me to really indulge in a hobby and it is doubly great that it allows me to share a word of encouragement with others along the way when I send out my cards.

You will notice a new link on my sidebar.  This will take you directly to my Stampin’ Up website where you can see the latest products, projects, and promotions.  And in my email newsletter, I will be sure to include a few Stampin’ Up details as well.

My goal is to post card inspirations, pictures, product news, and video tutorials on Fridays.  Thus the title The Friday Stampede……clever huh?!

Today I have a video for you.  This is the very first video I have ever done of a card tutorial so be gentle in your critique 🙂

I made a Thank You card using the new Painted Petals stamp set and the beautiful Gold Soirree Designer Series Paper.  At the bottom of each post about Stampin’ Up I will have direct links to the exact products I used (or a substitute if no longer available) and you can make the same products at home.

What is one of your 2015 goals?  Is it to send out more cards and letters?  Maybe you are taking the year to find a creative hobby?  Join me as I create and have fun!
