    About Me

Hi there! I am Alexis but you can call me Lexi. I am a lover of sweet treats, taking long walks with my giant dog, and HUGE family gatherings. I am married to Clint, my helping hand and chief recipe tester. We have 3 kiddos. Verity and Nora (whom we call “The Sisters”) and Harrison is our fun and compassionate boy. We live in the Rocky Mountains of Montana and I just love the beauty that surrounds us.

I have a HUGE family and we all get together frequently. I have 5 sisters and 1 brother….so we are a full party all on our own. My twin sister is my best friend. We talk on the phone almost daily and enjoy a close bond that is so special.

I have an unbridled passion for funny animals (specifically alpacas), hot coffee, and Christmas. I think if my friends had to describe me, these 3 things would for sure be in the top 10.

For me, there is nothing more rewarding than feeding my loved ones delicious and comforting food. My love for food and recipes really comes from nothing more than my love for serving others and caring for my friends and family. My passion of sharing all of my recipes is more about hospitality and nurturing. Around the table and lingering in the kitchen….it’s my favorite place to be with all of my favorite people.

I have a major sweet tooth. And by “sweet tooth”, I mean teeth….all of them. I love love love a good dessert, and I almost always have candy in my purse. Baking cookies is my way of relaxing and taking the time to unwind.

When I started blogging in 2011, it waspurely just to share recipes with my sisters since we all lived away from each other. Who knew that thanks to Pinterest, my recipes would take off like wild fire and I was cruising to a million page views in just 6 weeks! WOAH! As soon as I learned how to keep up with the fast paced technology world, I dove in to learn food photography and how to create images and graphics. Now, I have thousands of readers a day and I love the connection all around the world……all thanks to food.

For me, there is nothing more rewarding than feeding my loved ones delicious and comforting food.

My goal is that you all will find recipes and kitchen tips that will bring everyone back to the kitchen again. Food should be all about joy, comfort, sharing, building health, and sharing our lives with others. Dinner time can be enjoyable again, and I have everything here that you need to know about making cooking and baking simple and easy.

I also write all about Family, Home, Chronic Illness, and Lifestyle over at www.joyfulmomma.com. There is so much to share in life and that gives me another outlet to share while keeping this site ALL about the food.

Stay in touch by following me along on Facebook and Instagram. I am always over on Pinterest as well. You can subscribe to my newsletter and get all the new recipes and meal plans delivered right to your inbox. Check me out on YouTube as well for kitchen tips, videos that will inspire your time in the kitchen, and real life behind the scenes of a blogger lifestyle.

Today I wanted to chat a little bit about how I sh Today I wanted to chat a little bit about how I share my faith with others. It can be hard to figure out where to start, but by sharing your faith with even one person you've already made a difference.

Share your faith with those around you authentically. It's important to show that your life isn't perfect. Talk about the good and the bad and what God has done for you in those times! Talking about God and His faithfulness each day helps create a natural flow. Talk about God often through the day in casual settings and just in conversation.

Pray for those you interact with. Pray for God to place someone in your life who needs Him.

Of course, my greatest way of sharing my faith is with you all. I love that we've created a community here full of joyfulness and rejoicing in God’s perfect ways. I've been able to write about my own experiences (good and bad/hard) on the blog and here on Instagram, in a way where I'm able to encourage and really connect with new friends.

If you ever need any advice I'm always here! Tag someone in the comments you want to pray for today. Or simply leave us your 🙏 to spread a little joy 💕

This travel schooling adventure has been nothing s This travel schooling adventure has been nothing short of amazing. We have finished out 2 weeks on the road and we have driven over 2,000 miles! We zigzagged across Utah and went through the center of Arizona.

My very favorite scenery so far has been Arches National Park. My goodness…..it is stunning! We went twice to Goblin Valley to play on all of the big red rocks.

We still have about 5 more days before we get home and plenty more to explore.

We are creating memories that will bond us for life and I am so so thankful for this special time together.

What’s one of your top favorite places you’ve ever visited? Comment below 💕
