Coconut Rum Cocoa
This Coconut Rum Cocoa is so creamy and decadent. This will warm you from the inside out and make snow in February tolerable. Make a big batch for the whole family and put the rum in for the adults while the kids sip their special kid drink as well.
2 cups whole milk
2 cups half and half
6 Tbsp cocoa powder
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1–2 ounces coconut rum per mug
crushed chocolate chips
sweetened coconut flakes
In a heavy bottom saucepan, heat milk and half and half until almost boiling while stirring constantly.
Add in cocoa powder and sugar and sir constantly until smooth and creamy. Do not allow mixture to boil.
Remove from heat and pour in to mugs to serve. Add in rum to each individual drink and top with whipped cream. Garnish with chopped chocolate and sweetened coconut flakes.
