Heat a large skillet to medium high and add in ham to brown slightly.
Stir in tomato sauce, chicken broth, basil, o nion powder, salt and pepper. Stir to combine well.
Add in dry pasta and stir. Bring to a boil.
Cover, reduce heat to medium low and let simmer 15-20 minutes until pasta is tender.
Remove from heat and stir in pineapple. Top with shredded cheese and cover for 5 minutes. Cheese will melt and pasta will thicken.
