Salsa Verde Queso

Text overlay Salsa Verda with cheese sauce in a white bowl in front of a blue blowl with Chips

This Salsa Verde Queso is amazing and made in the slow cooker for a fuss-free, easy to serve appetizer.  Just keep chips on hand and you are ready to party!

Ingredients

Scale

8 oz cream cheese, softened

3/4 cup half and half

1/4 cup heavy cream

8oz White Cheddar Cheese, grated

8 oz pepperjack cheese, cubed

4 oz white American cheese (found at the deli counter)

1/2 cup salsa verde

4 oz diced green chilis

2 Tbsp chopped pickled jalapenos (fresh if you like extra hot)

Instructions

Add all ingredients to your slow cooker and heat on high for 1 hour.

Uncover and stir until mostly smooth.  Cover and heat on high for another 30 minutes.

When ready to serve top with more diced jalapenos or hot peppers.

Enjoy!

Notes

I like to add extra jalapenos to my Queso for an extra spicy flavor.  When I am making it for my kids, I skip the jalapenos and just add extra diced green chilies that are mild with ZERO spice factor and have amazing flavor.  You can make this dip perfect for any tastebuds.
