    CopyCat Passion Tea Lemonade

    July 2, 2013 by Alexis

I LOVE the Tazo Passion Tea Lemonade from Starbucks.  When I am not pregnant, I usually get an iced latte or a refresher.  But, now that I am keeping the caffeine at bay and save my daily intake for my morning cup of coffee, I was wanting a substitute.  This CopyCat Passion Tea Lemonade is amazing!  And even better, I can make it at home for a fraction of the cost!

You only need 4 things for this drink:  Lemonade, Tazo Passion Tea, Ice, and a sweetener of your choice.

CopyCat Passion Tea Lemonade - Joyful Momma's Kitchen

It is simple to make this and have it ready on hand.

    Here are the steps:

    1. Boil 8 oz of water in the microwave
    2. Steep 2 bags of tea for 15 minutes.
    3. While it is still warm, stir in 2 spoons of sugar (you can use any sweetener and as much or as little as you want)
    4. Give it a taste to make sure it is nice and sweet and then stick it in the fridge.

When you are ready for a glass, just fill your cup with ice, and pour in the tea and lemonade.  I like a ratio of 1 part tea to two parts lemonade.  That is how they make it at Starbucks.  You can play with it as much as you like.

*I normally use Simply Lemonade, but the store was sold out.  This was a great substitute if you don’t mind a tiny bit of artificial sweetener.  I will continue to use Simply Lemonade in the future although this tasted exactly the same*

Enjoy your icy drink and the sunshine!! Also check out my favorite Iced Coffee drink. Perfect for sunshine refreshment!

I love this recipe, but I use 8 oz tea and 4 oz lemonade, and I make my own simple syrup as sweetner. This is my go to refresher daily.

What kind of tea is it that you use?
Because I’m from Germany and we don’t have this tea here… 🙂

      Even Better:
Brew tea: Pour 1 qt boiling water over 4 tea bags, steep 10 min, pour over ice.
      After the ice melts:
Add 2 tubes of Crystal Lite lemonade mix – any flavor – I like the raspberry best. (The kind used in 16 oz bottles of water) add 1qt cold water. Pour over ice ine a glass Enjoy!!

Starbucks actually uses one part passion tea to about 4/5 part lemonade, that might be less tart if you give it a try. Also, try shaking the mixture or using your own simple syrup for a sweetener! (:

I’ve been doing a spin on this using Twinnings pomegranate raspberry and crystal light lemonade and it’s amazing!!!

I never thought of this! Can’t wait to try it. Does it taste just like the Starbucks drink? I mean, I’m sure it’s close enough.

Today I wanted to chat a little bit about how I sh Today I wanted to chat a little bit about how I share my faith with others. It can be hard to figure out where to start, but by sharing your faith with even one person you've already made a difference.

Share your faith with those around you authentically. It's important to show that your life isn't perfect. Talk about the good and the bad and what God has done for you in those times! Talking about God and His faithfulness each day helps create a natural flow. Talk about God often through the day in casual settings and just in conversation.

Pray for those you interact with. Pray for God to place someone in your life who needs Him.

Of course, my greatest way of sharing my faith is with you all. I love that we've created a community here full of joyfulness and rejoicing in God’s perfect ways. I've been able to write about my own experiences (good and bad/hard) on the blog and here on Instagram, in a way where I'm able to encourage and really connect with new friends.

If you ever need any advice I'm always here! Tag someone in the comments you want to pray for today. Or simply leave us your 🙏 to spread a little joy 💕

This travel schooling adventure has been nothing s This travel schooling adventure has been nothing short of amazing. We have finished out 2 weeks on the road and we have driven over 2,000 miles! We zigzagged across Utah and went through the center of Arizona.

My very favorite scenery so far has been Arches National Park. My goodness…..it is stunning! We went twice to Goblin Valley to play on all of the big red rocks.

We still have about 5 more days before we get home and plenty more to explore.

We are creating memories that will bond us for life and I am so so thankful for this special time together.
