Grandpa Dan’s Delicious Meatloaf

On my way to 100 recipes in 100 days. Here is recipe 51: Grandpa Dan’s Delicious Meatloaf!

Yes, that is what my recipe card says, “delicious meatloaf”.  My Grampy makes 2 things better than anyone else; chili and meatloaf.

I’m not sure where he got this recipe but I know that he has perfected it over the years.  If you have not tried a meatloaf that you like, give this one a try.  You will be surprised.

Meatloaf

1 lb ground beef

2 slices bread torn in tiny pieces

⅔ cup milk

2 tablespoon minced onion

½ teaspoon salt

⅛ teaspoon pepper

⅛ teaspoon dry mustard

⅛ teaspoon celery salt

⅛ teaspoon garlic powder

1 ½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Ketchup for top

1. Mix all ingredients together well with hands.  Place in a loaf pan and top with ketchup.  Bake at 350 for 1 hour until done in middle.

  1. I tried this recipe tonight. It was the moistest meatloaf I've ever had; I might venture to say the best. I did add much more garlic powder, as I love it, as well as some italian seasoning. For the topping, I mixed ketup and barbecue sauce for a deeper flavor. I will definitely be making this again.
