Pancakes
This is the pancake recipe that will put store bought mixes to shame. You no longer need to buy packaged mix for pancakes. The ingredients are simple and always on hand.

Perfectly puffed pancakes ready to devour.
Breakfast for dinner is my signature move.
My kids all love getting to be the one to butter the tall stacks of pancakes hot off the griddle.
If you get really serious and want to have perfect pancakes every time, I recommend using an electric skillet. It will heat evenly everywhere.
Homemade Pancakes
ByHomestyle pancakes from scratch. Simple ingredients and mixed in one big bowl.
Ingredients
- 1 ¾ cup flour
- 2 tablespoon sugar
- 2 ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ¾ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 ¼ cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl add all of the ingredients. Use an electric hand mixer or a whisk to mix well. The batter should mix up easily and well with just a few lumps. Let the batter set for about 5 minutes while getting the griddle ready.
- Use an electric griddle or skillet. Spray with non stick cooking spray and heat to 350 degrees. Test one pancake first to guage the time and temp of your skillet. I cook my pancakes 2 minutes on each side.
- Serve warm with butter and syrup (and my crazy crew loves peanut butter too)
Notes
I always make a double batch and put the extras in the fridge for leftover breakfast.
