Brownies with Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting

Ingredients
Brownies:
- 1 ⅓ cup salted butter soft at room temperature
- 2 ⅓ cup granulated sugar
- 4 eggs
- 3 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 ¼ cup all purpose flour
- 1 cup unsweetened baking cocoa
- ½ teaspoon salt
Frosting:
- 4 oz cream cheese soft at room temperature
- 2 tablespoon salted butter soft at room temperature
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 cups powder sugar
- 2 tablespoon heavy cream
- sprinkles
Instructions
Brownies:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Line a 9x13 cake pan with foil and spray with non stick cooking spray.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar with an electric mixer until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs and vanilla until mixed well.
- Add in flour, cocoa, and salt while mixing on low and gradually mix together until well combined. Batter will be thick.
- Spread batter in to prepared baking dish. Bake for 40-45 minutes until center is done when tested with toothpick or knife.
- Cool completely before frosting.
Frosting:
- In a medium mixing bowl, cream together cream cheese and butter until smooth. Add in vanilla and cocoa powder and mix well.
- Slowly add in powdered sugar and tiny amounts of the heavy cream until all combined. Frosting will be light and fluffy.
- Spread on cool brownies and top with sprinkles if desired.
- Enjoy!
