Slow Cooker Spaghetti Sauce
On my way to 100 recipes in 100 days. Here is recipe 62: Slow Cooker Spaghetti Sauce.
I love my Grammy’s Spaghetti Sauce. It brings back memories of growing up and family dinners. My husband loves any spaghetti. He is particularly a fan of spaghetti sauce with mushrooms. I decided to switch things up a bit and put together a new recipe. This was really good and made the perfect family dinner when my aunt and cousins were over.
Having spaghetti Sauce in the slow cooker makes for such a fast and comforting dinner. Just boil noodles and serve with some warm bread and salad. Easy as can be!
Slow Cooker Spaghetti Sauce
1 lb ground beef
1 yellow onion, finely diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 green bell pepper, diced
28 oz diced tomatoes, do not drain
28 oz tomato sauce
6 oz tomato paste
7 oz can sliced mushrooms, drained
2 tablespoon Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
1. Brown ground beef with onion and minced garlic. Drain and place in slow cooker.
2. Combine remaining ingredients in slow cooker and stir to mix.
3. Cook on low 4-6 hours. Adjust seasonings per your taste.
Enjoy!

I replace ground beef with eggplant. I can always make meatballs if I want meat. The slow cooker is perfect because you don't have to worry about burning the tomatoes.A little balsamic vinegar adds a nice kick and sweetness.
