Bayou Bars
On my way to 100 recipes in 100 days. Here is recipe 63: Bayou Bars!
My stepmom is from Louisiana and I know that she loves these type of desserts. She was coming to visit so I knew it was the perfect time to try out this recipe.

These bars are light and wonderful yet rich in flavor. Perfect for spring.

Bayou Bars
chopped pecans
butter, melted
eggs
yellow cake mix
cream cheese, softened
powdered sugar
1. Combine pecans, butter, egg and cake mix. Stir until well blended. Press into the bottom of a greased 9X13 inch pan. Set aside.
2. Combine remaining eggs, cream cheese and powdered sugar in a large bowl. Beat until smooth.
3. Pour cream cheese mixture over cake mix layer and bake until cheese mixture is set.
4. Let cool completely in pan on a wire rack.
Enjoy!
